I love the feel of a balanced, quality blade in my hand, the edge carefully honed to a fine, hand shaped, hair hewing perfection. As I look back upon more than 20 years, I do remember a day in which I did not have a knife clipped in my pocket or strapped to my belt.

This is a passion and love fostered by one of the truest men I know - and his passion for steel. He taught me to love fine craftsmanship. He has spent hours teaching me to polish shoes and sharpen steel. I can polish a fine shine onto a leather boot with the best of them, but Doug can work an edge with an artist's fine precision.
